My great thanks for all the time, items, money and encouragement, so many of you donated, for the “PEACE of Mind” Ladies Bags program for 2008. I am very grateful to many friends, friends of friends, business relationships and a few DPR folks who believed in this program. With the final last push and help of my sister Caroline, Mother, three great girlfriends - Sandra, Carrie & Sally - and a few middle school boys J, I was able to complete the bags, and deliver them last Tuesday for distribution throughout Mother’s Day Weekend, to the women of Chrysalis. Please know anything you did was a huge part of making this program successful. Your help was so instrumental in fact, I exceeded my goal of 50 bags by 10%, and delivered 55 bags! Over 500 hours went into this project – not including your own – so please know you did a great thing by taking time to help this project. The program was captured on two news stories which ran on KSAZ FOX 10 in Phoenix on the Monday prior to delivery (links are posted below). They did a nice job of highlighting the “ideas” of the program: giving and recycling / Peace of mind and body.
