About Rosemary Senjem
With a full understanding of human energy, entrepreneurial thinking, and business, I, Rosemary Senjem, bring practical tools and enlightening ideas for starting and growing a business. I believe and teach that entrepreneurship is a birthright of every human being.
One of my tools, a movement discipline called InterPlay™, helps me to teach entrepreneurial thinking with the whole body. I instruct you in noticing entrepreneurial body wisdom to support efficient decision-making and successful business practices.
I come from a large, extended, entrepreneurial family; have successfully run three businesses; and prefer to learn from experience. My degree in Human Development and Social Relations came in handy as an Outward Bound Instructor for nearly 7 years in Minnesota's Boundary Waters, teaching people how to achieve more than they ever thought they could.
As a budding entrepreneur, I hired myself out as an educational consultant between wilderness treks, helping schools and teachers make their classrooms come alive with experiential learning and build supportive communities.
An MBA looked much too boring, so I designed my own experiential education in business. I wanted to do what I call “a global village job” which is a business that plays an important role in any community in the world. Global village jobs always carry the essence of business principles without all the clutter. I got a barber’s license in Minneapolis; founded my own successful shop on Ely’s main street, called The Ely Barbershop; and successfully ran it for several years. It was a community center, breaking records for “haircuts done in one day,” and hosting music on the front porch by local musicians. After working long hours to keep up with the success and overcoming back surgery, I realized I needed a change.
I then integrated my fascinations with creative
form and technical function in a certificate
in web design. While working for a premier company in the field of
on-line learning, I became proficient in concept development, usable
design, and several programming languages. I started my own company,
Hand Spun Digital, to serve small
start-up companies and work more closely with entrepreneurs.
At my core, I am an innovative teacher dedicated to supporting your creative spirit as you work with your own business or a special project. As a certified InterPlay Leader and self-employment advocate, I felt called to develop a holistic program specifically for creative and intuitive people. The methods effectively teach ways to discover and clarify your true passions, direction and structures that work for you.
I am known for playing with entrepreneurial experiments wherever
I go. On one occasion I noticed a need for healthy snacks at a
3-day seminar and put together a quick-mart at my table, selling single
servings of fruit, yogurt and cheese. I cleared enough profit to pay
for all my own meals on that trip. During workshops I encourage participants
to play with money and create their own experiments.
I have guided entrepreneurs in the following fields: fine
art, construction, photography, cottage industry for a new product, life
coaching, corporate training & consulting, yoga & fitness, wellness & alternative
medicine, technical writing, virtual assistant, event planning, journalism, music & performance,
organizing, nutrition, upholstery, and more.
These methods are integral to all the Intuitive Plan courses and workshops as well as to the work of her web development company, Hand Spun Digital, Inc.
"The difference between someone who rides a bicycle and someone who can build a bicycle is knowing how it works. When you know how something works, you are freed up to build something that works best for you. That's what Intuitive Plan does. We give you the tools and understanding to build your own business that works best for you, so you can ride it through all kinds of terrain with ease."
