Update: I was testing this for a client. Thought I had it figured out, but the client's Facebook page had the opposite results: the right image showed up for them on the dlvr.it feed. To what do I attribute this difference? The mystery remains, but here are my clues:
1) During the testing there were sometimes alerts saying that Facebook was not responding properly in a timely way to the attempts to post.
2) The client posted their test content hours after the set up. I had posted right away. Maybe I was posting too early to see the full effect.
3) The Networked Blog account is mine and I set up the syndication for my client. It does not show up as an App on the Clients page, but it does show up on my pages. This is true despite Networked Blogs confirming a connection between the client's blog and FaceBook page.
4) dlvr.it does not show up as an app on any of these Facebook page settings... but it does get its logo in there somehow...

So the dlvr.it feed is showing the wrong image, but since adding the plugin, NetworkedBlogs is showing the right image!

Well, go figure. It took an image from the footer instead of the image in the post!
