Frequently Asked Questions
About the Show

  • You said this show is for "anybody in business." What does that mean? Do I have to own a business? Well now, that's a really good question. You do not in fact need to be a card-carrying Entrepreneur to use Entrepreneurial Thinking. In fact, if you are employed as a commissioned sales person, you will excel most when you are thinking like an entrepreneur! That said, everyone is welcome. Why? Because being an entrepreneur is a birthright of every human being. Yes, every human being. We're celebrating that fact. And if you arrive at 6:30 p.m., you’ll get some birthday cake to celebrate it!
  • You said the audience participates. What are you going to make me do? NOTHING! Desire is the most powerful energy in the human body and the lifeblood of Inspired Entrepreneurs. We would be nutso to try to "make" you do anything and it would go against everything we believe in.
  • How can I participate as an Audience Member, then? Well, I don't want to give away all the surprises, but if you come a little closer, I'll whisper in your ear. Just you, though. You can't tell anyone else. You could shout and dance and wiggle when you feel like it. Or you could join us on stage for a little bit. Or you could sit back in repose and take it all in as a witness. And you might even get to play a game we call Instant Entrepreneur and make a little cash.
  • Why should I come to this show? I don't know. You tell me. Do you work for yourself? Are you thinking about it? Are you having enough fun? Do you have employees? Do you wish you did? Do you groove on doing whatever your heart desires? Do you get accused of optimism (my favorite characteristic) because you see solutions when other people have their heads in the sand? Do you just want to follow your curiosity?
  • Will I meet other Entrepreneurs? Well, I would think so! That's who we're inviting! If you show up at 6:30 p.m., you can even enjoy some birthday cake and coffee.
  • Is it all a show or will I get to ask questions? Funny you should ask! AFTER THE SHOW, stick around because Rosemary Senjem will be there to do just that, answer your questions and give away prizes. How often do you get to ask an expert whatever you want?
  • What shall I wear? Geez, that's a little personal, but I always recommend being comfortable and stylish — whatever that means to you. Razzle-dazzle always gets attention, if that's what you're looking for.
  • How can I prepare to attend?
    • Bring business cards. Share what you do! Share the magic of your company! (If you don't have cards already, really consider making some! You can get free ones at VistaPrint.com, and then there's always paper, markers and scissors...)
    • Bring a buddy! Whatever happens here doesn't stay here. This is not Vegas, baby. This show will follow you home, make you giggle when you wake up in the morning and put a perk in your step. Things like that in life are always more fun when shared with a buddy. (Yes, even consider bringing those close to you who don't totally 'get' this entrepreneurial streak in you.)
    • Decide you are going to have fun, no matter what. Even if you seem to be having a bad day, disbelieve your current reality and take a bite of what we're serving up! I bet you'll come up grinning!
    • Notice how great you are and what you enjoy contributing to the potluck of life. Yeah, I haven't met you YET, but if you are thinking of coming to this event, you're pretty groovy in my book. Yes, I said groovy, as in I bet you know how to get your groove on! (If you really want to dig into this, do this exercise.)
    • JUST SHOW UP!
  • What tools may assist an introvert in being a successful Entrepreneur? Thanks for your question. I'm going to guess that you are asking about marketing and networking.

Start by deciding to observe, eavesdrop and just hang around Entrepreneurs. This is a great chance for you start to notice introverted Entrepreneurs. There are plenty of us who have learned how to reach out in meaningful ways to make the connections we want to make. Look for opportunities that would be easy ways for you to participate. It's a bit like watching a game and sorting out which position you'd like to play. As if it were jump rope, start envisioning when you would jump in. Then run experiments to grow your courage and test your theories about what will work for you.

Rosemary's workshop called Marketing It Your Way with Easy Steps Every Day, provides an experience for you to try a variety of tools and see which ones work best for you. The 2008 schedule will be posted soon. Let Rosemary know if this workshop would be a fit for you.

Remember that courage is acting in the presence of fear and confidence is acting while free of fear. Decide to be courageous and the confidence will come with practice. No need to worry about finding the best opportunity to practice courage. ANY act of courage helps you be more courageous in general. Practice courage daily.
