Your "Rascals" Retreat:
inner wisdom through art making & play
I'm teaming up with, celebrated figure artist, BRENNA BUSSE for this new retreat!
Space is limited at this special event, so register now and don't miss out!
Have you ever seen the 1930’s classic television series called the “Little Rascals,” also known as “Our Gang?” We all have our own set of “Little Rascals” inside us. The most famous one is “The Inner Child,” written about in many books. (Read more in this blog entry about Rascals and Resistance.)
There are others! All we need to do is roll call. Some show up like archetypal characters and others are simply another aspect of our Self.
What will we do on this retreat?
- get to know our "Rascals" better through fun exercises, led by me, Rosemary Senjem (and get a sneak peak at my new Handbook to Inner Triumphs for Outer Success)
- make art dolls to represent our inner team with renowned figure artist, Brenna Busse
- easy movement and InterPlay (learn more at www.InterPlayTC.org)
- reflective writing
- plus opportunities to go deeper with role play and get support around building a better team amongst your "Rascals."
What will we take home?
- more ease with our inner conversations
- more inner support for our big dreams
- meaningful art made by our own hands
What are the possibilities?
- make new friends
- try a labyrinth
- enjoy nature
- laugh a lot
- sing and dance
- have a really good time
- dig into joy
- a conversation with our higher selves through creativity
- momentum in the direction we desire
This workshop is for anyone who is:
- Dreaming of starting a business or creative project
- Already in business or a creative project, yet is stuck on some internal blocks.
Brenna Busse's perspective
”For the past 20 years I have been working with the figure — creating images made with clay, fabric, found objects, natural materials.
Using materials as a metaphor, I am exploring the human condition. For example, when I make a figure and cover it with keys, I am asking: 'What will this open?' or 'what do I need to lock away?' Or when a figure is covered with rusty metal, I am exploring the process of aging.
I realize that I have been making my own 'rascals' for a long time, because all of my work is an exploration of my life and a map for the journey that I am on. Over the years, I have heard from people who have seen and bought my work that the dolls tell their story, too. The personal becomes universal.”
On a Personal Note...
I first discovered my own “Rascals” in Gestalt Therapy, while putting my life back together after a divorce.
As I pursued more creative and entrepreneurial adventures, I found this inner team of characters showing up in my art, my work and in my relationships with customers. Now I was wise to their ways and impressed with their power and insightful, forthright advice.
I began teaching artists and entrepreneurs how to get to know their own “Rascals” and tap their hidden talents. Then we began resolving conflicts within the inner team, and found tremendous momentum for whatever you might want to accomplish.
I met Brenna Busse when she participated in one of my workshops. We both saw how my teachings about these inner "Rascals" and her art career making archetypal dolls were mirrors of the same work. And the seed was planted for Your “Rascals" Retreat.
